Changbaishan Natural Reserves is located in Jilin Province. It has
an area of 2000000 hectares covering with virgin forest. The Northeast
tiger, sika deer sable are noted in the world.
Tourist attraction include Changbaishan Spring (water temperature
up to 82C), Changbaishan Waterfall (68 meters tall) and Baitoushan
Heaven Pool (2,155 meters above sea level, with an area of 9.2 square
kilometers and deepest spot 312.7m deep).
This is a lake in the upper reaches of the Mudan River, The lake
is 45 kilometers long, surrounded by green hills and centered by
an isle named Xiaogushan. It is a famous resort place. Northern
end of Lake Jingpo is the Diaoshuilou waterfall zone, one of the
eight views in Jingpo Lake.
In the southeastern Heilongjiang Province, Jingpo lake is a famous
viewing place and resort spot, and reputed as " West lake of
the North". 45KM long from south to north, and 6 km wide at
most from east to west. The lake was formed because the river course
was blocked by volcanic lava flow. Now the store capacity is up
to 160,000,000 cubic meters.
Around the lake few buildings are constructed but trees and groves
and bushes control the area completely and hills decorate the scenery.
With a wide view of the woods and a quiet lake like a mirror, here
is actually a good resort place.
- Key Spots
Pearl Gate - Not far from Castle wall Lizi, two isles, like pearls,
stand at two sides of the lake, like a nature gate guarding.
Taoist priest hill - At south of the lake erects a mountain with
ruins of a temple which is said built in Qing Dynasty.
Old Gulizi - Northwest side of Jingpo Lake is Diaoshulou waterfall.
The 40 meter wide waterfall has a 20 meter drop of elevation. It
runs all the year round forming a spectacular view. From 50 kilometers
northwest of the Jingpo Lake, it is primeval forests of Korean pine
and northeast China ash growing in the volcanic craters, which amount
totally more than ten areas.
White lizi - Beside Jingpo Lake erect two grand steep cliffs. Located
in the middle of Jingpo Lake, an old castle remains and takes the
very important port and control the whole Lake. |
