This temple is about 15 km southeast of Shimen County in Changde and was firstly built in the 11th year of the Xiantong reign ofthe Tang Dynasty (870). It is one of the top 10 scenic spots of Hunan province. Lizicheng - Li Zicheng (September 22, 1606 - 1645), born Li Hongji, was a rebel in late Ming China who proclaimed himself Chuang Wang, or "The Roaming King", practised Buddhism and died here, and there is a mausoleum for him.
