Rain Flower Pebbles

The architecture of Nanjing Museum of Rain Flower Pebbles is the ancient site of Gaozuo Temple. It keeps the ancient China art of architecture--red balustrade, soaring eaves, and the connected zig-zag cloister. And it has been repaired in 2002. This museum is the sole professional museum which collects and researches Rainy Agate. It has five sections: Entity, Intention, Pleasure, Leisure, and Road of Stone Derivation. The five sections, integrated with gimmicky combination of sound, light, and electricity, display plenty of marvelous Rain Flower Pebbles and pictures with literal interpretations. ON the crude Rainy Agate you could admire many customs, personalities and animals and plants. One of the marvelous stone in this museum are awarded the first, second and third class in Shanghai 1st Display of Stone Collections From Celebrities. And this stone has been taken to the 24th Seoul Olympic Games as the "Peace Lucky Stone" by the delegation of China. It has been admired by many spectators from many nations. A legend says that in the Liang of Southern Dynasties (502-557) when Master Monk Yunguang was expounding the texts of Buddhism at Jubaoshan Heaven was so moved that it rained flowers. So the colorful pebbles with with beautiful patterns and veins in the mountain are called rain flower pebbles.Yuhuashi is a compound of quartzite, flint and agate, and has a popular name rain-flower agate.
